All this started in 1962.  I was visiting Mesa Verde and saw an Indian making silver jewelry.  I had to be chased away, didn’t think I could outrun him but he was old and I was scared.

After 50 years of school, Navy, raising a family, biomedical and aerospace engineering, I started down this path.  Great choice!

In 2009, I began taking metal smithing for jewelry classes at  Front Range Community College.  This was followed by several additional classes: a forging class at Denver School of Metal Arts, individual  instruction at Clear Creek Academy and a chasing & repousse class by Valentin Yotkov, hosted by Clear Creek Academy.

Along with jewelry, I’ve been making forging tools and repairing equipment for friends, even for a fee occasionally.

I love the learning, design and metal work but not too keen on marketing, especially web site design.

I’ll see how this goes.- Russ
